I recently changed my pill brand from monofemme to norimin.
I had an upset stomach for the intial few norimin tablets (started taking them 14/2, last period 7/2)
Breasts have gotten huge (like jumped a cup size in a day!) and are quite painful wondering if it's pill side effects of this new pill or I should be peeing on a stick in week or so when my period is due.
What are the chances of getting p/g on the combined pill?
The statistics are that 1% of women taking the COC (combined pill) correctly will concieve. So chances are tiny. My guess would be that you are experiencing side effects from the pill, I had really similar symptoms on norimin. I would suggest that if you don't get a withdrawl bleed when you take the suger pills then you might want to test.
Hope it works out for you.
i was on norimin the whole time i was on the pill, they made my boobs hurt like allll the time, they were so tender! only since i have been off the pill i realised how bad they were. and they did make me feel a bit sick the first few i took too.
but then again, i know of a couple of my friends that got preg while on norimin so you might want to pee just in case
eta: oh and watch out for norimin too....not sure if all pills are like this or not but i have heard of a lot of people becoming depressed on it - i did too....turned into a real moody cow to put it nicely. feel so much better now that im off it!
I love the pill that I was on, I never had any side effects whatsoever. Bummer was that it was one of the most expensive (loette). I'd be talking to the doc and changing pills. I don't think you should have to put up with that kinda crap.
Most Dr's will recommend you try a pill for 3mths before changing cause it can take a while for your body to "normalise". I went through a year of 3mth 'trials" before finding one that didn't make me a b!+&h or causing insanely sore boobs or causing me to have a bleed every 12-16 days. I was on a pill for years that worked great for me, then on the advice of a family planning Dr I switched to depo provera (really bad idea given my medical history and family history) and after a year of that decided to go back onto the pill. I was so sure it would be easy but the year that followed was hellish and thinking back I'm surprised my man stayed
If you are concerned seeing your Dr might be a plan or your other option is waiting a week or so to see what happens. SO not helpful right ?!?!?! All the best.
The weird thing was the last pill I was on (monofemme) I didn't have any major problems with it except getting pregnant (my fault for forgetting to take it) but post-pregnancy I've had all sorts of bleeds on it hence the switch.
Grrr.
I suppose I'm waiting a week. Good god my boobs are and feel huge. DP would love it if it wasn't for the fact I don't even want him looking at them because they hurt so much.
If you throw up before the pill digested than yup totally possible... read the packet and it will tell you how long you are supposed to use other contraceptions until you are covered again.... if you BD within that time period and AF is late, I would be POAS.
