Hope its all good to post this in here!

For those on FB.... there is a new group started called Attachemnt Parenting New Zealand heres the group link

A group for parents who follow attachment parenting principles.
Attachment parenting is not a strict code to follow. It is a set of guidelines that parents apply to their own family and circumstances. However, there are certain common principles that parents may draw from:
- Co-sleeping, or sleeping near to baby
- Breastfeeding, and breastfeeding over 6 months
- Baby wearing, carrying baby in a sling or wrap
- Belief that babies cry for a reason and should not be left to 'cry it out'.
Parents who follow attachment principles do not typically leave their babies to cry at night.
Many families develop along AP principles without ever having heard the term!

feel free to pop along and join if you are interested! can even discuss in here lol. (strangely enough thats what the forums are for haha)

(if you don't agree then thats cool, but please dont turn it into a debate... its just here for people that are interested thanks guys!)

Good for you! I wish I had found someone like me sooner as a lot of people these days frown when they hear what we do but there is no way I could just leave my baby to cry and breastfeeding to me was such a huge part of what motherhood was all about.

Yeah I praticed those same principles with DS....even co sleeping while in hospital lol. DS stayed in our room til past 1 years old...and even now we let him sleep with us every now and then. I BFd til just after 12 months old...though did use formula feeds to supplement BF and solids. Only thing I didn't do was slings...but only cos I thought it was only for newborns...and I thought he might be too heavy lol.
