We were out to dinner last night and DS put his hand on a spotlight. It was lighting up a fish pond. His had was only on there a split second, as i was right behind him but not quite fast enough. Anyway today i have just noticed a blister. we did run his hand in water for ages, but he has a blister, and im just wondering should i put any cream on it? If so what?
It doest seem to be bothering him too much. although he is favouring it a bit. I feel so mean.

I would try some bio oil on it. Joel burnt himself when he was younger and I rubbed that in, and now I don't even know where it was, it faded so well.

I'd use Mebo Burn Cream. Its sold at pharmacies. Its quite expensive at $30.00 a tube but is magic stuff. Its sesame seed based so the cream is brown and smells a bit different, but it works wonders. Many hospitals around the world use it on there burns victims. It takes the sting out of the burn and helps it heal.

I would be inclined to leave it to dry out and scab over - unless its weepy or angry looking - if he pops it and its raw - then cover it with a non stick gauze pad and wrap it - although probably not easy for a little guy to not want to play with.

If it gets red and yukky pop into the doctor - the only real problem is if it gets infected.

Thanks Girls. I put some Aloe Vera on it last night, as thats all i had at home. This morning its looking so much better, there is still a bit of a blister there, so hopeing that doesnt pop and it goes down like the rest of it... will see how it is when i get him from daycare and if its not good i will go to the pharmacy to get some cream as suggested by fallen. Thanks heaps!
