I feel like a complete idiot for asking .....
At what point in your cycle does your cervix come right down???
I haven't had a period all year and just started taking pills to try get things restarted. last night DH and I did the BD and i was very short IYKWIM and i remember that that used to happen at the same time every month back when i was on the pill but cant remember if that usually happens just b4 AF or just after Af or mid way.

oh kool, i am sooo hoping this means Af will arrive soon, altho i really want a baby now i at least want one AF so that i can get rid of/ shread all that old blood, and then hopefully have regular AF's
ummm how do i describe how you find your cervix. ummm its at the other end of your whole, its the hard thing at the end that your DP/DH will hit while BDing (you cant find it with your fingers or anything coz its usually a far way up) hmmmm keep this clean was hard work lol

you normally can reach it (just) - it kind of feels a bit like the tip of your nose. It does move through your cycle though, as others have said. Someone actually took daily pictures over a month - if you're interested, check it out here (warning: quite graphic!)

I'm using progesterone pesseries for the last week of my cycle so have noticed that it sits really low when af is due. What position is it in if you are pg??

lol girls....when I first started charting it seemed everyone else was checking their cervix and I was like...wth??? How the heck do they know what it feels like...just feels like a gooey ol cave up there to me.
I looked at the beautiful cervix website (not beautiful but interesting...in a gorey way lol) then took the plunge haha , squatted in the shower and oh hello!! there you are! To me it feels like a round marble with a crack in it. Once you are well and truly UTD it rises very high and is tightly closed and firm, but it can take weeks into your pregnancy for this to happen so its not the best indicator of pregnancy.
Hope that helps

Tarns I think it actually rises and goes soft not hard in early preg... it stays hard if not preggo. But like you say these changes can take a few weeks but may happen earlier...
