Topic: knocked/ hit to tummy Posted: 26 October 2009 at 1:47pm |
Was trying to open the blind in the kitchen and reached across and knocked tummy on cupboard handle hurt and left a red mark, put cold flannel on it. It has come down, so no mark now.
But do you think it's a concern? that i knocked my tummy, it's so big now i forget i require more space!!
baby has moved lots since which is great.
Should i be worried??

I think it will probably be alright since baby has been moving lots since. but if you are really concerned give your MW a call or txt and let her know what happened, she might send you for a scan or something if it is something to worry about.

At about the same stage I assed over on a boat and fell flat on my tummy, but bub still moved lots so I figured we'd be right. They're well padded down there! As long as you are super aware of movement/lack of movement over the next few day's is should be fine.
For peace of mind though, let your midwife know :D

I fell head over feet when I was 6 months pregnant with C,she was fine , the only thing damaged, was my pride ...
Always a good sign if shes moving a lot, just for your peace of mind, as everyone else has said, let your mw know :-)

Yeah it will be fine, but if you are worried then speak to your MW.
when I was pregnant with Isaella I got some very hard kicks to my tummy while changing Cadens nappy or clothes etc, It hurt like hell, but Isabella kicked away like normal.
They are very well protected in there

Milo I think since bub is still moving, there's no need to worry.
I have bashed my belly about so much in the last few weeks. It's hard to remember that it's there!

At 39weeks my 33kg dog lept onto my belly! I just left it as she still moved around.

i had an incident with a sheep and a wire rope on saturday that was very sore and left a bruise. I didn't bother the MW cos after about 3 hours bubs was moving heaps again. She saw the bruise today and told me to be more careful but as long as bubs is moving it should be alright.
