I know there is an older thread on here about it, but just keen to hear if anyone has been recently? Had any views?

We have issues if we don't manage to nail the first sleep of the day. If we do, we are fine.

Mothercraft has been mentioned as an option, although Plunket think my techniques are working well at the moment. I'm in two minds whether to go for it, or to keep trying my techniques

From what I have heard of mothercraft it does work, but you have to be tough.

I went with my daughter Gabrielle back in February when she was 10 weeks old. It worked for us but you do have to be tough. Gabrielle was waking every hour or so day and night, often going for 7 or 8 hours during the day with no sleep and screaming for hours on end. They basically focused on making sure I was feeding her enough (which I wasn't - she was snack feeding and only getting 80ml each feed when she should have been getting 180ml) and then stretching her sleeps out which involved leaving her to cry it out for a certain period of time. It sounds harsh but she was in such a bad snack feeding cycle that leaving her to cry and feeding her on schedule was how we had to break it. Gabrielle did really well and there was no screaming for day sleeps within 3 days and she slept 7 hours in a row at night by the time we got home. Amazing what getting enough food can do for a baby!

Good luck with your situation, whether you decide to go or not
