I just wormed our family and my son had really bad worms and I didn't even know.
I thought I'd just remind people that kids get worms really easy as they are out in the mud all the time but often we forget to worm our families. I know that it doesn't always effect your kids on the outside but I"m sure its still effects them and its so easy to cure.(well except for the pile high of washing I now have to do.)
Every six months is a good routine to keep.

They are good now. Actually the only flavour we could get was chocolate as it was the only range they had for children as young as Daniel. So Daniel first taste of chocolate was a worm tablet. LOL.
We have a duck which is why I thought we should do it sooner to catch Daniel as up till now he's been too young.

At what age do you start giving worming tablets? We have an inside dog, but DD is only 12 weeks at the mo.

they dont recommend you worm kids now unless they actually have worms. it can cause irritability, itchiness. and no you shouldnt do under twos. apparently raw grated carrot is helpful to get rid of them

I used combantrin which is designed for 12months plus.
I didn't know that he had worms until he had the meds and they all started appearing in his nappies. So gross. Actually thinking back on it I do remember seeing them in his poos just didn't know what they were at that stage. Ops.

Personally I will worm my family at least once every 12months as with young kids its highly likely they'll have them. If you did want to test you could put a little strip of celetape next to the anus in the nappy and the worms get stuck.
