Topic: Twins Posted: 08 March 2005 at 1:34pm |
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and just wanted to say hello.
I am 23 weeks pregnant with twin girls and I have 2 boys aged 5yrs and 18 months.
Anyone else here having twins?
Question?: What is up with the time on here? It keeps showing me that everything is posted on Dec 30 1899 at 12:00!!

Hi and welcome!
I am also having twins and think we are the only ones on this site so far! I am 30 1/2 weeks so far but we don't know what flavour babies we are having yet! These will be our first (and second!) babies and we were most surprised to find out we were having twins as we have no family history at all!
You are more than welcome to email me at niki.knowles@xtra.co.nz if you would like to chat sometime.
Good luck with your pregnancy anyway!

Hi Niki,
bet you are getting excited about the pending arrivals! If not a little nervous!
We also had no history of twins in the family and were very surprised to find out - especially considering that we were not in the market for any more kids LOL!!
What sort of twins are you having?? I am having Dichorionic diamniotic twins - or non identical tiwns.
Are you going to try and find out what you are having? I felt like I really needed to prepare and now we know we are having girls I am really glad I found out as I have 2 boys!
Good luck with your pregnancy, when are you due?

Hi and congrats, I'm not expecting twins but have 5 year old fraternal twin girls.
Just a note on the above, 1/3 of identicals are also dichorionic so you won't really know their zygosity, and especially since it's assumed they are both the same gender, until after they are born.
Have you been to the NZ multiple birth site yet? The url is www.nzmbz.info

Yeah I was having a look at the twins section on Oh baby before and realised that about the dichorionic part. I guess I will have to wait and see unless there is a way of telling before birth?! any ideas??
Yeah I have had a look at the multiple births site, didnt really find it of use... nothing like talking to mums who have been there done that.
Btw- 12 kids!!! WOW.
