Topic: VENTING !! Posted: 24 September 2009 at 1:17pm |
Hi Everyone
Sorry but i need to vent some things and thought this was the best place to do it. Im new to this forum so still learning the way through it haha. Im 10 weeks pregnant at the moment and due on 16th April 2010. I just have to say that i think it sucks that we cant find out the sex of our babies untill 20 weeks. I have a 12 week scan comming up in 2 weeks but just REALLY wana know the sex. My partners mum said she thinks it will be a boy as my partner has another brother aswell. Im hoping for a wee girl but will be happy with which ever. I just really WANA KNOW NOW ...!!!

You know there is a test you can buy don't you? I am pretty sure it is a 'pee on a stick' job and I think it can be used from about 10 weeks. It isn't cheap, just over $100 but if you really can't wait
Also some places will tell you the sex at 12 weeks apparently. I didn't know this but some of the girls on the 'Due April' thread have mentioned it. If they use high grade ultrasound equipment they can see more detail apparently!
Plus come and join us on "Due April' if you'd like!

just be aware that both the pee stick(90% i think?) and early u/s can often be wrong..there is no guaranteed way until 20..well even birth really..but i know the waiting sucks!:)

This one works every time.
Doesn't have to be hair and a ring either. We just used a cotton thread and a needle. Just got to make a pendulim.
My mum does it to everyone she knows that is preggy and she ALWAYS comes up with the right answer.

Just tried this - over my tummy it went side to side, then I put it over my wrist it straight away changed to round and round.
I'm having a boy!

Did you do it yourselves or get someone else to hold it over for you?
I think you're supposed to have someone else hold it over for you.
Maybe it's just coincidence that it's always right for mum. Who knows.

tania- yeah my friend who always gets it right(and she really does except with me lol) did it over my wrist..it said one boy..nothing else.. and it counts mc's apparently so was wrong for me.. when i do it I always get 5..but no more after this:)! she just kept doing it till it ran out of swinging...stopping it by laying it on my wrist each time.
