...for wiping babies nose when they have a cold?

DD has got her first cold (first time she has been sick ever) and her nose is so runny, I have been using tissues to wipe it but I am worried I will end up making her nose sore as I know mine gets sore when I use tissues all the time.

Also any other tips to make DD more comfortable would be much appreciated.

Harper has one too at the moment. Not nice is it. I use a soft warm flannel as much as possible.

I use soft tissues and I also rub her nose and lips with vaseline before sleeps.

ETA; More tips!!
I have a pile of cold tips!
-Eucalyptus oil in a bowl of boiling water under her bed at night.
-a folded blanket under her matress to raise her head a bit.
-Have her in the bathroom when you have a steamy hot shower. Steam is great for congested bubbas.
-Baby Balsam on her chest and back (I put vaseline on first just to protect her skin a bit)
-Saline drops up her nose before bed. (you can buy it at the chemist or make your own; 1/4t salt mixed into 1c water. Replace daily) This helps 'melt' the boogers. Apparently breastmilk helps too but it didn't seem to do anything for Jody.
-I give Jody Pamol because I know it helps my headaches/fever when I have a cold.
-Lots of rest and cuddles.

I've been using cotton fabric cloths with warm water. Seems to do the trick with the 2 colds that she has had. Horrible isn't it?

You could try vicks in an oil burner in the roome? If you are worried about the naked flame factor, then there are electric ones available.

Also elevating the top end of her cot :) Just put 2 books roughly the same size under the legs.

I often use a soft muslin cloth. We also put Karvol on an old teatowel and hang in near his bed. Vicks is good too....

Poor litlle thing - its so hard when they get colds!

Hope she feels better soon!
