Got a BFP this morning

Now what? Do I go see a doctor? When do you do a first scan and where does that happen?

We arent telling family until we've seen a heartbeat.

Congratulations Azza

The consensus is different for different people. Some people go to the GP, others just go straight to the midwife. I personally go straight to the midwife - I made contact when I was roughly 5 weeks and am meeting her today. I think she will give me a form for baseline bloods and the form for the first scan.

The first scan is generally around 13 weeks if you want a nuchal scan, earlier if needed for dating or any complications etc.

Congratulations again - see it isn't over until the fat lady sings - how many DPO are you now?

Thank you! Thats where my doctor is too so I will definitely check them out. She seemed to think they were only partially subsidised though, do you know how true that is?

I am with Maternity associates (MW is Delwyn Evans and although I have only meet her once she came recommended from a friend and seems lovely and even Ella took to her) and as far as I know they are fully funded.

Mum2Ella, we have the same MW my DD loves her too.

Fully funded, not sure why your GP would think that they were only partially subsidised.

Thanks! Maybe it was me being confused rather than her.
