I have rather dry nipples atm - to the point that I'm leaving white marks (from all the flaked off skin) inside my bra. They don't hurt, but I presume it can't be good to lose all that skin, plus they don't exactly look attractive!
What can I put on them, and where would I get it?
Thanks

You can pick up nipple cream in the baby aisle at the supermarket (it's supposed to be for breastfeeding mums to keep the nipple supple and stop cracking).

I have this problem as well, its so lovely when I take off my black bra and all the dry nipple skin floats to the floor

I have started using purelan on my nipples and it helps heaps!! And dont use soap on them in the shower when you wash yourself.

Ive had this since i was first preg. I have managed to get ontop of it now, after trying a few things, one of which includes going through a whole small tube of Lansinoh, which didnt help.......i used rawleighs salve on it and that fixed it and now i keep them moisturised with just regular moisturiser and it keeps the flaking at baby mostly.................mine were so bad in the beginning they were constanlty cracked and bleeding!!

Sheza - where do you get purelan from and is it safe during feeding? i wont be able to use rawleighs while feeding and lansinoh doesnt work for me so will have to look at other options

I haven't had cracked nipples but I don't know if it is the stretchmark cream and bio oil I have basically been bathing in since I found out I was preggie. The rest of my body is super dry though. My nipples have been incredibly tender, feels like someone is sticking little needles into them...and they have completely changed shape and colour...I don't even recognise it.

If you can't use Lanisoh you may not be able to use Purelan either. It may be the lanolin?? Try Lucas Paw Paw ointment. You can get it from the chemist and there is the original orange tube or the new black one. I'm pretty sure they are all fine when breastfeeding.

Lucas Papaw ointment is brilliant for all sorts - I also thought of using an organic lip balm
