how long after having a baby did it take before you started to OV again? i was on clomid the first time round and am wondering if ill need to do this again or if my body will have figured itself out since having a baby.

If your breastfeeding it may take awhile... I Oved about 11 months after my daughter was born... which was when I stopped BFing

I OV'd 11 weeks after Lydia was born, fully breastfeeding. AF back at 13 weeks, and seem to have popped back into regular cycles, despite still exclusively BFing.

I bf for 4-5weeks and got my period back 6weeks after she was born and i started ov after that, and also my periods went from 28 days ov round 14 days to 33-34days and ov rounf day 18ish. Oh and they are heavier!!!!

i have just had a 22 day cycle so im worried they all up the wop. lol. im gonna start temping though so hopefully ill know soon enough but im just curios to see if other ppl OV'd after pg after having difficulty. if that makes sense. lol

monikah - if your not BFing I wouldn't think it would be too far away... but it can still take a wee while to get going from what I understand... maybe you could try vitex to help sort out your hormones, esp if ya needed clomid last time??

monikah, I think it will be different for everyone, I got my periods back strsight away, did not worry about ov as I was not charting for any of those times.
I was BF DS2 at 10mths when I found out I was pg.

I would give your body a couple of months to get over the birth & keep charting & temp & opk's to see how things are going, bet you will get your BFP before me
