Morning Ladies,

I met my MW yesterday who asked if I was on Facebook, and if I could become a fan of a group she's setting up called 'Birth Centre for the North Shore'. OF COURSE I COULD!!!!

Basically she's working with a group of Midwives from around Auckland who would like a Birthcare type place on the sunny Shore. At this stage they're purely looking for support numbers and then hope to take it to petition local MP's etc and get this baby moving. How fabulous would it be huh?????

If you're as keen as I am, please can you search for the group on Facebook and if you aren't registered then just reply to this post and I'll keep my MW updated. Wouldn't it be great for your next Bubs, or if you've done your dash then how about your friends/sisters/cousins etc?

Going to join now.... mind I got lucky and had a single room at NSH and only had one duty MW that I didnt like from 10 shifts.. pretty good I reckon! (and they let DH come and go as he pleased).

That said with the 38% C-Section rate it would be nice to be somewhere that isnt so quick to pull out the scalpel next time around!
