did it take for your period to return after having your baby?
My boy will be one next month and he is BFed but still no sign of period here. I'm not concerned as we aren't wanting to have another any time soon but I am just surprised/delighted it has been so long.
Secondly how long did it take you to recover from back pain? I didn't get very much back pain throughout the pregnancy but during labour and afterwards it has been terrible. My son was direct posteria so I was expecting some back pain but I didn't think it would continue on like it has.
AF returned as soon as I stopped BF - so 3-4 months old.
With the back pain I had worse pain after having Daniel and finally went to the chiro and he sorted me out. I had some things out of place and once I had seen him a couple of times it was gone. It was fab. But it took me ages to get off my butt and do something about it. More than a year anyway
AF returned at 7 months once Isla was having more solids. You shouldnt have to put up with pain that long, I would go see an osteopath or chiro.
ETA- have u done a preg test? My friend asked me when did my period return, her baby was 7 months at the time and it hadnt come back,....turned out she was preg.
you lucky thing lol (about not having your period). Mine returned the next month and i was exclusively bf until 5months and am still breastfeeding now and managed to get pregnant while breastfeeding and on the mini pill lol.
I also had bad back pain - chiropractor sorted me out - i would go see one hun, theres no point being in pain if you dont need to be.
Kellz I have definately done a preg test. I was getting a little paranoid but not preg.
Sounds like a lot of you have had success with Chiro so maybe I'll have to try that. Are they expensive?
Mine came back as soon as I stopped BF at 4 months ish. My friend didn't get hers back till her DS was 11 months old (lucky cow!) and he was BF till 14 months.
Second (or third?) the suggestion to see a chiro or osteo re your back. I had wicked neck pain from feeding and my osteo sorted me out in 2 sessions. It's about $90/session here, but that's not much help to you in NZ
Can you tell your doc your hurt your back lifting bubs and need a referral (to get it cheaper) ??
Chiro for me is $18 a session on acc. I said that picking Daniel up made it worse.. as being preggers isn't enough to get ACC cover. It wasn't a lie. It didn't help it.
Period - I stopped BF at 7 months and have had 1 since (at about 10 months). I'm paranoid about pregnancy but I was always irregular pre-baby so it seems to just be continuing!
