When is this normally done? I thought about now and OB mentioned bloods but not till 28 weeks. Am I getting ahead of myself?

It's usually around 28w unless you've previously had GD, or have a family history of it, I thought? I just had another polycose one this afternoon which is the standard one, but had one earlier on because of my family history of diabetes and GD.

I had one at 14ish weeks because I had a bad pee test, but they turned up alright I think.

Yep, it's around the start of the third trimester in most cases.

You don't have to have this done, if the pee tests are fine etc, I chose not to as it is a large amount of sugar to take and can be inconclusive anyway.   Dr.Sarah J Buckley has a great book gentle birth, gentle mothering it has all the risks/benefits of all the tests.
