I'm 22 weeks this week and have started having trouble breathing properly, have an appointment this afternoon to see the doctor. My hubby has asthma and I described how I felt to him and he said it was exactly how he feels when his asthma is playing up.

Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem. I'm hoping the doctor can give me something to help but any suggestions would be great!

disco:)

umm my breathing problems only started later on when I got bigger. But it was purely the no room cos there is a big baby in there lol. Generally more when I lay down to sleep etc. But I did get breathless quite quickly could still breath however.

Definitely let your MW know as well. I had breathing issues and my MW was really quick about sending me to an obstetric physician. It was nothing, but you need to be checked.

Went to the doctor and she did some tests and I ended up in hospital last night with a possible blood clot on my lungs! :0

But they did more tests and my lungs are clear, they think it might be a virus, so am on antibiotics for a week.

I feel fine apart from that! I must say all the doctors and nurses where fantastic.

I'm so glad you got it checked out - must be a relief to get it sorted (even if you're not totally sure what it was)

i was suffering from a tight chest on friday am.. saw midwife and next thing you know i was admitted to hospital on oxygen and having all the test done (scan on legs and CT scan on chest) for blood clots... turns out i have H1N1 flu (swine flu) spent two days in hospital and am now home today on Tammiflu and antibiotics...

Any unusual chest pains etc should always be checked.. I was lucky to see someone right away and they caught it in the first 24 hours

Good Luck with a speedy recovery
