Topic: anyone else with long cycles??? Posted: 23 April 2009 at 9:10pm |
hi since i had my 3rd ds 10mths ago my cycles have been quite long which isnt that great when we ar wanting to ttc, I some how still manage to pick up on ov as i still get all the classic ov symptoms eg ewcm, ov pain, cx HOS etc and as I had those things the last day or so i did an opk and surprise its positive, but Im on CD37!!! for me atm this is a normal cycle I ov'd about CD40 a few cycles ago and then either CD29 last cycle or the spotting I had was not AF and it was more like CD70 lol.
I am trying to wait til AF is back to normal or atleast some what normal but Im so clucky even more wedding isnt enough for me to hold of just a few more months lol.

Hey Rorylex - long cycles suck aye!
Mine were 45days and nothing i did would make them shorter.... i took vitex which is a herbal supplement that is meant to help regulate your cycle but that didnt seem to help and also accupunture but only went to that for 1 cycle and then i was pregnant... maybe both worked for me but i still conceived this bub on a 45day cycle.

Yep it really sucks rorylex!! since my dd2 my cycles have been 50 plus days - the latest 63! I'm thinking of trying vitex this month to see if that helps... Like you though I have managed to conceive easily in the past with long cycles (although they only use to be about 45 days )...

Rillamyrilla - I know! we're the same! do you use opks??
I went to the healthfood shop yesterday and got myself some vitex so I'm really hoping it helps shorten my cycle... the lady had very positive things to say about it but of course she was trying to sell something

Not too much longer then rorylex... hopefully a BFP at the end of it all eh!
My af finally arrived on CD63 (was so peed off as got bfp in the am and af in pm!) ... I'm on my 10th day of vitex and feeling a little nausea so hoping it's not the vitex?! so so hoping it helps shorten my cycle... will let ya know!

Must be have been very disconcerting having af when ya preggo babe!!! I wondered about that the and when af was over I did an hpt to be sure and was completely and utterly BFN... was a hideously bad af so have a feeling it was a real positive that didn't wanna stick!

oh sorry to hear that freckle, hopefully the vitex does some good for ur cycles.
I have a few days to go yet my last cycle where i ov'd on CD40 i got af 11DPO so anywhere from a few days to a week. I had a 13day latuel(sp) phase last cycle we just didnt bd in the time frame. I suppose each cycle being 2mths long just means an extra 2mths between mason and #4's age gap.
I do find the bigger age gap between 2 and 3 a lot nicer then 1 and 2 which is 13mths but im too clucky to hold off.

I thought I'd sign in on this thread... 52 days (and counting) sure counts as long to me!!! It's good to hear that BFP's do happen, though!

Wow well I just got AF! so apparently a 33 day cycle, quite excited about that! When I O I get sharp pains, but I am trying to see if I can detect it by taking temps.
