Don't know yet, but as soon as I do I'll update ! Have the Plunket nurse coming to visit tomorrow too.

Got ours tomorrow morning and I'm very about having a potentially grotty child for a day or three!
Will let ya know, but could be different as I had a c-section.

I had my blood pressure checked, due to it being very high while pregnant with Andrew. Had my tummy checked to make sure my uterus had gone back down. If I had had sex yet - did it hurt or not. Contraception for us whether I needed a script for the pill. And if the discharge had stopped and if aunt flow had made her apperance.

My doctor just asked if everything was ok, any problems to which I said no and that was that. Got my supply of the pill though while I was there so that was handy.
Re injections, Alex reacted badly to them - very tender around his legs where the injections were. Problem was the jabs were on both sides of his legs but I tried hard not to bang into them (not easy)
Good luck!
PS, my first born had no trouble with any of his injections

Kirsten - we have ours today too. I'll be interested to see what the doc asks me. I'm not getting Amelia immunised today - waiting a few more weeks.
Jess - will let you know what happens with my appt today too, as no doubt we'll all have different 'stories'.

my midwife did our 6 week check and she pretty much just asked questions like whether the bleeding had stopped, whether my partner and i had resumed....relations( ), she also had to check my stitches but that might be different for you.
with the jabs, i got them at 8 weeks and mikey reacted pretty badly to them, he got really upset and restless for about a day.

We have our 6 week check up on Monday - My mummy is coming along to hold my hand
Still waiting for Plunket to contact me tho - we were discharged from the MW nearly 2 weeks ago and I called our local Plunket office twice... still nada!

My doctor just asked if everything was ok and if I had any questions or problems and I asked for another pill prescription and my midwife had only given me a months worth. Other than that she just concentrated on Addison

Our check went well. Basically, the doc asked how things were going, checked my scar, had a lovely smear test! But that was only due to the fact that I haven't had one (ever... it was my choice too. The doc would've been happy just to leave me be!). Checked Ashlee over (ears, eyes, heart, lungs, hips all that stuff), talked contraception and given the pill, then Ashlee had her shots. Daddy was the brave one out of us three haha! The nurse actually turned around to me and said 'is mum alright?'!! Jeez, I'm so hopeless!
We had to hang around for 20 mins to make sure she didn't react badly or something. She was more grizzly and drowsy than usual but no other side effects like welts or fever or anything.
