Over the last week or so Ava has had mushy poos - like back to the way they were when i was breastfeeding her (a tiny bit more solid) and tonight she had a really thin looking poo. Shes not excessivly going - only 2-3 times a day. She is 7 months old and has been on solids for a couple of months and I've just put her onto follow on formula. I thought being on solids would make her poos harder. Should i be concerned?

If you are not quite sure then maybe call HealthLine or take her to the doctor. The only thing I can think of (other than a bug etc) is teething, Jack always has soft poos when he is teething.

Hi, could it be that she has picked up a tummy bug? My bubs started daycare 3 weeks ago - 2nd week in and I was at home with her for soft runny poos - she had picked up a bug! I would ring Plunket or Healthline or even your local A & E clinic if your concerned. Her poos were like that for about a week too. Goodluck!

We had that but it was after antibiotics for an ear infection, took nearly 6 weeks to get back to normal. Joel also reacted to follow on formula at 6 months so went back to the newborn one and have just started to reintroduce it again this weekend.
