....or teething do they tend to sleep less and feed more? My 4 month old is sounding quite snuffly, dribbling alot, rubbing her gums and biting on anything she can and just crying alot.
She normally feeds approx 4 hourly but she is only sleeping an hour at most for naps, waking up really upset and seems hungry alot more plus she seems to be tired alot and generally cranky.
I have rubbed some baby balsam on her chest and rubbed a little bonjela on her gums plus she has had one dose of pamol today but she is just not herself. Could it be the beginning of a cold as well as teething?
That sounds like very normal teething behaviour to me. And they quite often get a cold when they are teething as their little immune systems weaken a bit. Bonjela is a good start and you can give pamol every four hours, something nice and cold to bite on might be welcomed too.
If she has a cold then she'll get a temperature, if it is just teething then she won't get a high temperature.
Sounds normal to me too. Lil miss is pretty much fed on demand, but when she's teething she seems to be permanently attached to me whereas when she's not cutting teeth she can go hours without a feed. She's the same when she's got a cold - generally grizzly and wanting to feed for comfort more than anything else.
