Hey guys,

I'm having trouble finding a really dark wooden cot. Everything seems to be either white or rimu. The Warehouse has some awesome really dark wooden furniture at the moment which I want to get for our baby room (it's almost so dark that it looks black) but I can't find a cot to match. Has anyone seen anything around? It would be great if The Warehouse sold cots but I don't think they do??

Something a colour like this but doesn't have to be a sleigh cot.

The warehouse does sell cots but I don't think I've seen one in that really dark wood stain. There is always the option of buying pine and sanding it back then re-staining?

Iv'e seen cots in our warehouse but not sure if they do them as dark as you want. I have seen them lighter...like a rimu stain I guess. Have you checked Trademe?

Try Touchwood - they do beautiful cots and furniture. We have 2 of their cots, one white and one rimu but looking at this link they do have 2 dark colours

Touchwood

and it is NZ company, made in Tawa, Wellington so it is good for the economy too .

I was going to suggest Touchwood as well. Our cot is quite dark although not as dark as black

I got a zuzu cot from Farmers. Limited stock- perhaps ask if they could get you one from another shop if your local doesnt have one.

We have a mid dark one, it think its from Pamco. We could actually pick the stain and they had quite a lot to choose from.

I got a dark wood cot from Baby Factory. I think Baby City had one and Farmers had a couple as well. Not sure if they'd be dark enough but I preferred the darker wood as well and spent ages looking for the right one!

Good luck!!

We bought one from Touchwood (as mentioned above) we also like the darker stain and ours is Walnut colour, which is quite dark. They do another darker version (think it is called Traditional). Sometimes the company sells these on TM for much cheaper and I found the colour and style I wanted there. Brand new cot too.
