Hi,

Ok in the last couple of weeks, possibly longer, hard to keep track I just ache.

I find I wake up around 5am and my back and hips are so sore, there is no more sleep possible.

It goes away after I have been up a while, but for the first hour I feel like I am 95.

I was thinking I should go to the Dr, but speaking to two ladies at my ante natal group yesterday one aches in all her joints and the other has back ache at night too, so is it hormonal, they are both getting blood tests to check for arthritus and stuff, but i'm thinking since we all have these issues maybe its more a post preggie thing???????

It might be hormonal, but you probably want to rule out things like Glandular Fever, so if I was you, I'd probably see the doctor and talk it through with them.

I think it would be a good idea to see the doctor. Doing something about it now might just stop the ache and save you from further problems later on.

I was really sore after both pregnancies and a trip to the Osteopath really helped. All the relaxin you have had in your body to help you give birth has probably made things a bit loose and easily moved out of joint. If you have a temperature or any other symptoms I'd go to the doctor otherwise I'd just find a good osteopath.

Oooh I like the idea of an Osteo, I do need to do something its getting so bad, sleep is becoming more hassle really.

I had glandular feaver years ago, maybe a full check up would be a good idea.

I had a similar thing. I have never had back problems but after DS my lower back was really painful especially when I lay down at night I would hate rolling over in bed.

I ended up going to physio as I have an old tailbone injury and it was also sore. I then got referred to a muscular skeletal doctor who has found out my right pelvis keeps dropping so it is making my back sore (and aggravating old tailbone injury).

He manipulated it back in (didnt hurt) and I havent had a sore back since. It does still drop occasionally so my tailbone gets sore so I have to go back and get him to pop it back again.

He said it is common after childbirth, especially if ventouse or forceps, which is what I had.

Hope you gfeel better soon
