This is a completely random Q brought on by something DH (half jokingly ) said to me last night. We have a laptop computer & we keep it sitting on a little table so always have to put it on our laps when we're using it.

Do you think this is "bad" for bubs in any way? Maybe not so much now but perhaps when it gets bigger. I'm sure I spend longer than I should on the computer...

Thoughts anyway?

we've never cared and we are on computers all the time. id watch out with the heat side of things same as you would would make fertility. cooking baby isnt good but as far as the radiation side of things i wouldnt worry at all. personal opinion though. some people get really up about it so really depends on you.

I always use my laptop on my knee / tummy when laying on the sofa! When I was pregnant I used to put it on a cushion - it was more comfortable that way and it stopped the heat cooking bubs.....as for the radiation....I live with a DH who loves everything to be wireless...so I figure my whole house is a radiation zone!!!

I sit the laptop on my knees rather than on my tummy - for no other reason than being parahoid!

I put cushion underneath laptop as the heat irritates me, plus I don't think it would be good for bubs :)

I used my laptop right throughout my pg with Issy and when I got really big I used my bump as a table! She seems fine lol

Now I do tend to put a pillow on my lap (or tum if im in bed) .. but thats more because its hot than worrying about Elias cooking (although I have a placenta at the front this time .. so he has double protection)
Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months)

I did it .. 41 kgs gone! From flab to fab in under a year LFs weight blog
