I was told that having a spa in early pregnancy can "cook" your fetus...does anyone know if this is true or not???
Iv just had a spa and then remembered it (although iv only had an extremely faint positive so im not even sure if im pregnant or not...).

i'm definately no expert but i'd say you'll be fine. i hope that extremely faint positive is confirmed for you!
i wouldn't have spas later though if you are preggy..temperature, germs, chemicals ??

I avoided them in early pregnancy but have indulged in later pregnancy....I just made sure the temp was under 38degrees and drank a ton of water while it in and didn't stay in long enough to over heat.

The danger with too hot spas (baths/showers etc) is that it can cause feotal distress syndrome and presumably you wouldn't pick up a problem early on as you can't feel baby moving. (don't mean to freak you!)

I'd say you'll be fine but if you are worried just get your midwife to check you out.

Yay for the positive!!!!
