Topic: When did you get symptoms? Posted: 27 January 2009 at 12:18pm |
I know i probably should complain and that it will all come in the next few weeks but so far i have had barely any symptoms of being pregnant. I am a bit tireder and gag a little when i smell something that i don't like but other than that nothing.... with the last pregnancy i was sick heaps and had really really sore massive boobs but havent got that yet.
I know every pregnancy is different but i spose i just need reassurace. Did any of you get symptoms later?

In most pregnancy books Ive read, they all say that symptoms don't usually kick in til the 6th week, of course some get them earlier , but in general its from about 6 weeks .
With this baby (my second ) I got symptoms much earlier, but were still hard to distinguish from AF symptoms, with Caitlyn I got no symptoms til 6 weeks , and then the morning sickness set in .

Mine stopped for a week or so which scared me quite a bit. I know HEAPS of girls that didn't even know they were pregnant till they were about 10 weeks after realising they'd skipped AF.
My MS was only bad on some days and on others I would never have thought I was pregnant. Don't worry chick, it'll all come along soon enough lol.

Strangely enough, I had worse symptoms with the pgcy that ended in m/c than with this one. All different I suppose.

I had (naively) thought that I wasn't going to get MS because my mother didn't and my grandmother didn't and they both told me it was a good trait from that side of the family and that I shouldn't get it.
Haha anyway so my symptoms had only been sore and growing boobs up until 6 weeks and then the nausea and tiredness kicked in. Also started HATING the smell and taste of garlic and chilli. Have only vomited a few times but its the nausea that really takes it out of me.
Thankfully it already seems to be getting better now that I am over 9 weeks along! (touch wood) Not nauseous at all today. Hopefully that's the end of feeling sick for the moment!

It still makes me laugh that some doctors say the MS is a myth lol. I'll add that it seems to be male doctors.

I got symptoms about 2 weeks post conception - food tasted off and my boobs were sore. I did a test the next night and it was +ve. As soon as I saw the blue line I started feeling nauseous, and it didn't stop till I was 20 weeks

I had sore boobs from early on but ms didn't kick in for me until about week 6-7 lasting until about week 16-17. Until then I didn't really feel like I was pregnant either but after ms started I knew alright!!
And as for those doctors who think ms is a myth - do they honestly think I chose to vomit up to 3 times a day for the fun of it!!!

Have never heard that before! Do they just think its psychological or something? Weird.

Feeling a little better, tho still no symptoms so spose i will jsut wait til after 6 weeks. Should get some then huh!!!

Hi everyone, my ms started bang on 6 weeks - hasn't been too bad, but enough to make me want to stay at home in bed every day! The tiredness is the worst. I have had lots of minor pains - but my GP tells me it is likely that everything is just stretching and moving and getting squeezed in, so hopefully that is normal.

With Caden I started my symptoms bang on 6 weeks, the MS started the tiredness started, all at 6 weeks! I didnt have sore boobs though and I never got that funny taste in the mouth or anything! But when the MS started it was bad and it was bad until 11 weeks and then I was seedy until 15.
With this baby, I started feeling seedy before I tested and I got the horrible metallic taste in my mouth, and I felt "odd" so i tested and it was positive. The seediness went away then came back around 5 weeks and but it was no where near as bad as with Caden, this time I havent had the water mouth thing and the gagging, Im fine as long as I eat all the time, with Caden I couldnt hardly eat.
I have sore boobs this time aswell.
