Nappy Parties??

I've just started consulting for TotsBots and really want to try and spread the cloth love down here in the Eastern Bay - so thought of maybe holding nappy parties, kind of like the way tupperware works, with maybe a gift for host dependent on how many people show up, etc...

If you were going to a nappy party, or even just an info evening, what would you want to get out of it? Trying to work out if we just sit around and play with nappies or if I need games or ???

Great idea!! I had to do all my nappy buying online, and it would have been great to actually see the nappies before I bought them. If I was going to a nappy party I would want to see a good range of products (sizes/colours/different styles/accessories). Umm, the geames at tuperware parties annoy me, so I wouldn't be into that, but thats just me! A good chat to other cloth using mums would be great!!

so it's a nix on the games then... I had to do all my buying online and it was so confusing knowing what to get! That's what gave me the idea in the first place. Unfortunately, it's part of my contract with totsbots that I don't sell other brands so I can't show a variety, but that doesn't stop me talking about the pros and cons of the different types I guess! They do sell a couple of different fitteds, plus they have a new AIO so only really missing the prefolds and pockets.

A tip for you Anita, as I've been doing demos for Honey Child for over 2 years now, get the host to arrange a coffee date at her house and invite as many Mum's with nappy age children as she can. Once everyone is there, do your demo (keep it brief and to the point i.e. no games ), ask for any questions, give them some printed info, then leave.

People like to chat with their friends about what they have just seen to help them make up their mind. If they are interested they will come back to you, I personally don't follow up each person I've seen at a party as I don't like to be hounded myself. I give the host a call after about 3 days and see if anyone wanted to be called.

I'm biased here but I would personnally like to have a demo from an agent who's company specialised in the 1 brand & type. They are experts in that product and should have chosen that particular brand to exclusively use for their own child before becoming an agent (that's the criteria to become a HC agent). There's nothing stopping you from having seperate demos, just make sure the agent has actually used the product themselves.
