Anyone out there wanting to sell their Trunki? Going overseas soon and would love to have one for my son but retail prices are too expensive, have searched Trademe and Sella but none are currently selling in Auckland atm.

Sorry, not selling ours, it's a life saver (in fact we'll have to get another one for #2 now) - but just wanted to say you can get them as a fly buys reward if you have 520 points spare, might be an option?

I am in ChCh but just sold our one. It was a PITA so got rid of it! Found the sling or sitting on a normal suitcase so much easier and have now brought a quicksmart stroller which is the ulitmate!

thanks Weegee will check my flybuys points and see if i can score one from Flybuys.Have checkd Ezibuy but nothing is listed, they probably dont sell em anymore.Kiwikid - I dont think they are designed to sleep on but def a good idea though maybe they should invent one where your toddler can sleep on etc Thank you ladies, first time Ive posted anything on OB, thought i wouldnt get any replies but do appreciate all your msgs.

You can normally pick them up on trademe for cheap. I was thinking about getting one then decided against when saw how many people sold them on.

If you do lots of travel look into a quick smart as its lots easier than making a child sit on a Trunkee. I also found that it was a pain to get stuff in and out of on the actual plane which means its basically just a buggy type thing.

For us it has been more about occupying DS in those little waits - after checking in, while waiting for luggage etc. If he's been asleep it's been while one of us is wearing him. We used it even when he was technically too young for it:

just arrived from scotland with 2yr old and 4yr old plus 7mnth old hamish - 2 older girls rode their trunkies with style at all possible opportunities - made getting them thru large airports like dubai much quicker, tho agreed they are not easily accesible on plane. v cool tho!

We are considering getting them for the kids as we're off to Oz in a few weeks and then back to Thailand next year. they look soooo cute! Last time we travelled Morgan was only 16months (just turned 2 now) so we had the buggy the whole time in airport but Jake (just over 3) didn't always want to walk! Especially in the middle of the night. Now at 4 hes really too big for a stroller, so though a Trunki would be fun for them. We'd have to buy two unfortunately, so pretty costly.

Callum loves his but it's more of a toy than a useful ride-on. He is only 2.5 (just 2 last time we traveled long haul with it) but tall, so he can manage but he LOVES pulling it round the airport, especially in singapore where there's loads of room! One big bonus is that it really slows him down when he wants to run off and explore 
We don't use it for carry-on that we need to get to but keep C's toys and books in it so they have a place to be tidied away while we're away
