Hi Hamilton mums,

We have just moved to Hamilton and I need to find a good GP, we are living in Rototuna. Can anyone recommend a GP not too far from here?

Thank you

Geraldine Tennant at Chartwell Health is lovely, Vicki Jones is great there too.

I would travel to Radius St Andrews (not that far from Rototuna) Seema Mennon is your lady - she is very up with the play on fertility which was essential to me when I was finding a GP, she used to be based at Rototuna but has moved - she is just LOVELY, very efficient and is happy for her patients to have her direct email/cellphone if necessary.

Even my DH who HATES all things doctors found her really nice and approachable. And a bonus is once you are a registered patient then its only $17.50 per appointment (1st one is expensive though).

Yea def agree with not radius. We were with them for just over a year when we moved to Hamilton and they have huge wait times, we couldn't get an appt for a week in advance. They dish out antibiotics like no ones business. And the I found a few of the nurses incompetent. Eg when I took my 6 week old in for vax the nurse said to feed him while she done it and he wouldn't feed off me for ages after.
We have now swapped to flagstaff medical which have been fine so far.
