Does anyone have any recommendations for a really good day care on the North Shore? Around the Takapuna/Milford area? I'm going back to uni in January for my final semester which is going to be a pretty full on semester so he will prob be there 4 days a week (hoping granddad will have him for the mornings tho so he isn't spending the whole day there). Man i'm feeling sooo bad about it, im dreading the day I have to put him in daycare, I really didn't want him going till he was 2 or 3, but need to get my degree! So any help would me very appreciated, any awesome places, places to stay away from etc etc, thanks!

I was going to recommend the same one - kindercare Milford.

Great reputation and my son is at a different Kindercare and they are just a brilliant chain.

it is really hard to start with and most Mums feel really bad when their precious wee ones have to go to daycare. But, you will find Tyler will enjoy it and the older he gets the easier it is (for you that is). DS started daycare when he was 1 and he still sometimes cries when i drop him off but I know once I have gone he is having a great time (have peeked back in). Now sometimes he doesnt want to go home!!

My DD goes to Lollipops Educare in Takapuna and I can't recommend them highly enough. The manager is awesome and is very hands-on and the staff are all lovely too.

Would pay to visit a couple of places to compare, as they're all very different and it depends on what's important to you.

Are you going to Uni in the city - have you looked at some of the city daycares as another option? That way you can pop in during the day to see him?
