Topic: How long have you been ttc? Posted: 13 March 2013 at 7:44pm |
Just wondering how long people have been trying and hope to share some tips and general support. Feels like forever for us and maybe it is really really long - 3 years this month

It took us 2 years and 3 miscarriages to conceive our daughter. We have been trying for No. 2 for 10 months and have had 1 miscarriage. Its definitely a tough road that's for sure! Its definitely easier when you already have one child, they are a good distraction. TTC No. 1 however was very hard going. Don't give up, that's all I can say. Everything happens for a reason

3 years 5 mths but almost reached the end ( I hope!! ). I always wanted to be a youngish mum and def by the time I was 30. I'm 30 in 10days and likely having a DI that day oh the joys lol. Wishing everyone all the best with their journey. The advice I give myself is hold on to hope and remember its not a race ( esp useful with yet another fb update!). And talk about it don't live with it alone.

Lovely to hear from you all. My DD is now 14 and I had her quite young so I have been trying not to get pregnant since and now trying to for 3 years just seems unfair! Getting a HSG next week as an ultra sound picked up a possible issue. An answer of some kind would be helpful. Baby dust to you all

For everyone trying to get pregnant I really reccommend you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. Worth every penny!

We're in our first month of trying for number 3. Its the first child we've been officially trying for. No. 1 was unexpected, no. 2 was planned but we were at the not trying/not preventing stage of planning her when I got pregnant. Heres hoping things continue as smoothly.

Kiara is 3 and Teagan is 2, now we're expecting our long awaited 3rd!

Hello all, We've been trying since Aug 11 with a (miserable) 8mth break from it after our 2nd MC in Mar 12 till we brought our donor back to NZ in Oct 12. We've tried every month since to no avail which is pretty frustrating after 2 BFPs out of 4.5 tries last time he was here. (the .5 is when we tried 14 days after the first MC). But this time we've just had 2 triphasic charts and 2 lots of implantation bleeding and 2 late periods, but no BFPs dammit! Our donor looks to be leaving on the 1st April, so this will be our last try for the foreseeable future. So please send us your best, best, best vibes for this TWW.

It is so nice to hear from others. Our ttc anniversary is today, bitter sweet as it is the same as when we moved. Maybe this year!

We have been TTC #2 since Oct 2012 so this our 7th cycle.
It took 6 months to conceive DS #1 11 years ago so not sure how much longer we will have to wait this time.

DD was conceived on honeymoon, first time we tried. Trying for #2 has been a completely different story. TTC for 5 yrs, 4 m/c and 7 unsuccessful IVF rounds. We recently decided not to carry on with IVF and instead are going to try naturally for the rest of the year and hope that a miracle happens!
Take care everyone, this period of our lives has been extremely taxing both emotionally, physically and in our case financially.

It will be 2 years tomorrow that we've been trying for our first. I have an appt at the gynae clinic later this month for suspected endo. Hoping the progression down that path will go quickly and smoothly!
