Morning everyone,
We have been TTC un-officially for just over a month (aka not to careful with prophylactics lol) and officially from March, we have a almost 11 month old who is breastfeeding, and my periods where back to a normal 27 day cycle except missing my March one and im not pregnant so im thinking breastfeeding has got me out of whack again.....
If any one has experience TTC whilst still breastfeeding i would love to hear your advice...needless to say itl be pretty tricky to track my cycle but we will still give it a go....
I know it is very early days but my cycle going back to strange timing has me really out of sorts.
thank you in advance!

I'm on to my 2nd time of trying whilst BFing. The first time was easy because my first daughter didn't feed over night and as soon as I stopped the mini pill my cycle went back to 28 days and Ov on day 14/15 (super easy) so only had the one period between them and bam pregnant.
However with my 2nd child still feeding overnight and sometimes just wanting to feed all day (or thats what it feels like) she keeps mucking up my cycle by delaying ovulation. I've been up to 2 weeks late esp when she got sick and just fed off me 24/7 for a week and went totally off solids. So in all this just saying I totally understand where you're coming from!
Our plan is just to BD every couple of days until EWCM and ov pains say that I've ovulated and then wait for 2 1/2 weeks and if AF still hasn't come I'll test! Good luck to you :) I'm sure shes pushed back this month by a week as well but at least I know (as do you if you've been having regular cycles) that you are at least ovulating which is what can be totally supressed in some woman who are BFing.
Kiara is 3 and Teagan is 2, now we're expecting our long awaited 3rd!

Thank-you! so good to hear, you know funny you should mention sick baby as he was ill with a cold the week I was supposed to ovulate and I think that's what stuffed me up and pushed me out to a 44 day cycle, im currently CD12 and tracking with OPK every day, I figure if I go back to a 27 day cycle im due to OV pretty soon and if its another long 44 day one not til the middle Of April so will be a good 3 weeks of BD possibly ( phew lol)....this is my first time using OPK and tracking my cycle and im a tad obsessive now lol, I have been mildly trying to feed less over night, but he is now teething so that's out the window.....thanks again for your help....i have a little more hope :)....
Ohh one more question what the heck does it feel like to ovulate? how can you tell?

I fell pregnant while BFing but my cycles weren't regular. An increase in DS feeding at night meant that I ovulated really late in my cycle (when he slept through or didn't feed for several nights in a row). Some people don't feel ovulation (I never used to) but I can now. For me it's a general ache from the position of my ovary and the aching lasts for about 12 hours. Good luck!

DS2 was 7mths & was fully BF when I fell pg with DS3. AF was back straight after birth with all 3 of mine but do not know if it was the same cycle as prior to giving birth as I never kept track of it as was not trying for another so soon after DS2.
