Hi,

I've never joined a forum before but I am 7 weeks pregnant with my first baby and wondering if my experience is normal! I have suffered extreme fatigue for the last 2 weeks, so much that I have had to take days off work to sleep and it's now Sunday and for the second weekend in a row have hardly got out of bed all weekend(I'm struggling even to type now lol). I'm lucky my partner has been around to do housework and feed me lol. I doubt I'll be able to make it to work much this week (which I can't afford to do!) My iron tests came back normal so it's not that. I guess I would like to feel like other perhaps extreme the same level???

I also have really bad nausea. I use seasickness pressure point wrist bands, take ginger pills religiously, eat plain crackers within a minute of waking in the morn, and try to eat a lot of small meals and still feel unwell from morning to evening (sometimes better at night). I've had my first scan and all looks healthy...

Has anyone else been this sick so early on?!?!

Yep sounds just like me. I had to leave work early most days to go home to bed and I had all day nausea for 19 weeks. The only time I didn't feel sick was when I was asleep.

I was so hungry in the first trimester that I had to eat huge amounts ALL day but still lost weight. I put it down to the fact I was having twins (but only found that out at 12 weeks).

It does get better, hang in there.

Hugs to you. Sadly it is normal for alot of women to deal with what you are going through . There are things you can take to help though. Have you seen a midwife yet? If you have one it might pay to ring them and ask for some help. Any if you dont have one yet get onto it asap.
