Topic: Desperately seeking Osh Kosh teddy comfor Posted: 19 May 2012 at 3:35pm |
Hi all! This is a repost of the original message that I wrote late last year when I was desperately searching for a replacement teddy for our darling daughter. I was lucky enough to receive one from one amazing, fantastic member, only to have it go missing when we were visiting our baby's Godparents recently :( This was an absolute disaster!!!! (certainly for our wee girl it was anyway!!)
So I am still desperately searching... I would be soooo grateful if anyone has one that I could either swap for a replacement toy or purchase from you. Thank you sooo much!
Original message...
Our darling daughter has completely fallen in love with an Osh Kosh Pink teddy blanket and won't let it out of her sight. I am so worried that it will either get lost or worn out in no time at all, and am desperately trying to find another one to rotate with her original, but can't find one anywhere!! This is a picture of the exact teddy but unfortunately it is out of stock in this shop: http://www.zodee.com/babies/osh-kosh/teddy/ba3019-sp/
I originally got ours from Farmers but sadly they don't sell them anymore. If only I'd known that she would choose this one as her favourite toy!!! I'd be sooo grateful if anyone has any advice or has seen this teddy anywhere else! They also came in different colours... yellow, dark pink, baby blue and navy. Ours is light pink, but I'd be really happy to even consider another colour as there'd be a fairly good chance that she might accept it regardless of being a different colour!! Thanks soooo much :-) xx

Would you believe I have a yellow one! Fresh, unused, well it's been sitting in my baby's cot.
You can have it if yellow would work????

Look here at what I just stumbled across on TM. I know it is not exactly the same, but really very similar, it is almost the same. perhaps it works for your girl.

I am curious, did she notice that it's a different colour?

The amazing thing is she is so SO excited and completely in love with her beautiful new 'lellow teddy' (thanks AandCsMum!) that she won't let it out of her sight!!! Not only has she noticed the different colour... (she looked at it in absolute gleeful amazement and awe when she first saw it saying 'lellow, lellow...' over & over again!), but it has actually overtaken her treasured 'pink teddy' which she usually won't let out of her sight!! Actually now she won't let either teddy out of her sight! I couldn't have wished for her to take to yellow teddy better! Amazing!!! It brings such joy to my heart to see how much love she has for these wee critters... but my goodness, now I have to make sure that neither pink or yellow teddy go missing as she has attached herself to both and would absolutely know the difference if one of them wasn't there!!

Thanks Hibiscus! Well her adoration of yellow teddy has not lessened in the slightest! 'Lellow teddy' and 'pink teddy' now do everything with her. They are her constant companions! She shares lots of long, wondertul, babbling stories with them... stories that only they can understand hehe! Very cute indeed.
Now if I could only find a spare yellow teddy then we would have all bases covered. If only she had fallen in love with a teddy that is still being produced and sold currently... that would have been sooo much easier!
I am very, very grateful for yellow teddy however, even though we only have one of her! Our wee daughter is absolutely besotted and I wouldn't change that for the world :-)
