Has anyone used a Manduca throughout their pregnancy? As much as I'd love an excuse to buy a new carrier it's really not in the budget right now, but don't want to stop carrying Josh (22 months) if I can help it! I've got a pouch sling and a woven wrap too, but find him a bit heavy (and fidgety) to use either of those atm.

Any ideas/tips much appreciated!

I would have thought it would be OK. The carriers are more ergonomic than just lugging them around which I do without even considering it.

It might be considered the same as exercise. If you do it pre-pregnancy and are used to it, it should be OK.

I would give a ruck a try with your woven.   With a Manduca you can wear it lower on our hips or higher, whichever is more comfy. Try youtube for different carries with a wrap, you might find one that suits.

thanks guys :)

pudgy i do like the ruck carry with my wrap, but Josh is up and down all the time so far too time consuming!! I'm wondering if a mei-tai might be a good compromise - do you know if you can do a tibetan ruck with one?

I tried the manduca today on my hips instead of at my waist and it was okay, although took a bit of getting used to and my legs are killing me now lol!

No not with a mei tai as there are two sets of straps. But you can tie one higher or lower and they're quick and easy to use. I think My Natural Baby washaving a sale on kozys.

I carried my 21mnth DD last at the farmers sale..so, a month ago...I'm 29 weeks now. It was comfy enough! She is quite a light weight though, just 10kg. I don't know if it'd be comfy now....But may have tried it...
