ds usually drinks about 200mls 5-6times aday.
but for the past 3weeks or so will only drink half of that about every 3-4 hours.
hes still happy and doesnt seem sick or anything.
hes 5.5months.
any ideas?
ive tried feeding him in a dark quiet room but nothing seems to work.
Have u started solids? Maybe hes taking less milk cos hes filling up on solids? If hes not on solids, then maybe its something else like teething. As long as hes well and having lots of wet nappies still then should be fine. You could always phone plunketline for advise.
yea just one meal at night. but he wont drink his bottles at all through the day. i thought it might be teeth i saw a white cap the other day but cant see it anymore.
Ally_cat - My little one went through the same thing around the same age and I went and got him weighed at Plunket (family centre) and the lady said that it was probably teeth and as long as he was still getting wet nappies it would be ok but just keep an eye on it. Then in a couple of days he bounced in a couple of days and out popped the tooth.
Oh just remember something the Plunket lady said - try feeding outside under a tree apparently they get distracted by the leaves and forget about what they are actually doing.
