I have a wedding to go to next weekend and can't find anything to wear! Have looked at PP, JK, TWH, KMart and nothing appeals. There is a gorgeous dress at Egg but I'm not going to pay $199 for something I will only wear once! Anyone seen any nice non-maternity tops/dresses that might be suitable?? I'm a size 12 usually.

I've bumped a thread by AliasMum in the General Chat section which should help

Good luck!

Mrs B - Egg will hire the dress for $80.

Might be worth considering if you would only wear it once...

I got some really nice going out dresses at Shanton , and cos they have the empire waist line they are flattering on pregnant figures (plus they were cheap....plus DF paid ...)

I had a wedding in October to go to and had the same dilemma - I ended up with a long wrap style cardy (you could get something really light in the sales with a similar effect) which I could just pull to over my bump and secure with a funky high belt, over a ... well, it was a stretch dress, but pretty much just a spaghetti strap, stretchy material to knee length (very, very basic and looks a bit like a nighty on its own! ) and you could even probably pick up something similar in most places. I figured that way I could wear everything again post baby ... just as well too because the blardy wedding was cancelled 2 weeks out! I'd have had kittens if I'd bought an actual maternity outfit!!

Oooo! and also don't forget about the deal - although it's probably getting a bit late to order

I just bought a nice dress off TM to wear to my niece's wedding.  They have plenty of maternity dresses on there although I actually just bought one made from stretchy fabric from the general womenswear section
