Topic: Arghhh again! Posted: 23 December 2008 at 2:39pm |
Spotting brown AGAIN, every pregnancy I have had this, first one m/c second one, caden and now this one.
I know its probably nothing, but I cant help feel nervous, I just wish i could have one pregnancy where I dotn see blood of any kind, brown, pink red whatever, i dont want to see it!
So, I have told my MW and Im having blood tomorrow. Naturally, Im stressing, My MS hasnt kicked in yet, with Caden it did at round 5 1/2 weeks. I am feeling tired and seedy on and off, but Ive been getting niggly cramps since I got my BFP, now Im worried its a m/c on its way.
*sigh* Sorry for the woe is me post!

I won't tell you not to worry as I know that will be impossible for you to do but please remember that last time you had spotting you also carried to full term (a bit longer actually) and have a gorgeous son to show for it.
MS is different with every pregnancy. This time mine started at about 3 wks, before I even got BFP, but I was 7-8wks preg with Michaela before I got MS and it was lovely and mild. So not having MS yet indicate nothing at all.
Good luck for the bloods tomorrow and I hope you get a good result (and I hope they can process them quickly for you too).

Hope everything is ok. Will you get test results back tomorrow as well or will you need to wait?
I wouldn't worry too much about the ms, with Spencer it didn't start until 6 weeks, with my m/c it started before I was even 4 weeks (was what made me test so early) and then this time it started around 5 weeks so I don't think it means to much. My hcg was really low with the m/c but yet so high we thought it might be twins this time.
The cramping is normal as well, although still worrying.
Here have another hug

Aaaaw (hugs) Sheza, cos boy do I know what you're going through! I had such bad cramping at 4 wks 6 days, I ended up in hospital. Then I started to spot brown blood about 5-6 weeks and that didn't stop until about 9.5 weeks. My ms kicked in full force by about 6-7 weeks and I didn't stop spewing until about 14-15 weeks.
This pg has been a worry from day 1 lol and today is the first day I have felt really good about it (and that was ATER our scan this morning lol).
I'm sure you will be ok and the bloods will come back normal

thanks emmecat **hugs**
My ms with caden came just after 5 weeks, I HAVE been feeling seedy on and off especially if I dont eat, and the cramping isnt anything bad, its just those normal niggly ones...I will know what m/c cramping feels like if it comes cos Ive been there before..and labour lol
I just spoke to DF on the phone and he reminded me that this happened with Caden and that things will be ok. But he feels the same as me, if things are not ok, we will be sad, but greatful we have Caden.

Tho I can see why it would be very worrying, you poor thing , whether its harmless or not, spotting is NOT what a pregnant lady wants to see !

Definitly not Its so hard to know how things will turn out. The spotting with caden was pink first then brown, this is just brown, very light brown, but stilllll scary.
Im going to go at 7-7.30am tomorrow, nice and early! To avoid the xmas rush in town and to get my results before xmas I hope!

my brown spotting(had with E not with mc) turned out to be fine...i won't tell you not to worry either as it's totally normal.. I'm sure everything will be ok though..and hopefully you get those results very soon! (sorry i dont know much about bloods) do the levels or something tell you if everything is ok..isnt there a huge range?

Yeah the levels over 3 days will tell if they are doubling as they should.
So if I get my results tomorrow and they are at the range they should be for 6 weeks then Im probably fine, but the real indicator that things are going well is that it doubles every 48 hours.
When i had my bloods with Caden they were nice and high and more than doubling avery 48 hours. So Im hoping for the same!

Good luck Sheza! I'm thinking of you and hope it turns out the same as with Caden!
And grr, wish you could have one pregnancy with no spotting!!! But at least you know that lots of people (including you!) go on to have healthy bubbas despite having spotting (or even bleeding in some cases!)

Sheza- I sh!t myself completely every time I went to the loo and saw I'd been spotting again...it was quite regular, esp around 8 weeks, almost like a light brown period . I was convinced I was gonna mc again. Although th thing I did notice is that unlike my mc's, I never got cramping AND spotting togerther- was always one or the other. The cramps were much earlier on, then the spotting just regular (as in most days) after that. And it def wasn't related to special cuddles cos we never did tat till 9.5 weeks and I think that's what stopped the bleeding haha. I just needed a good clean out eeeeeewwwwww lol

Hey Sheena, big to you. I know how frustrating and scary any brown/pink/red spotting or bleeding is, and although it is normal it's hard not to worry and stress about it, especially as you've been through it all before not once but twice and had the outcomes go both ways. So my fingers are crossed for you that everything is fine again this time round just like it was with Caden
