just woundering what is the earliets DPO that i could have bloods take for hcg and have it pick up on hcg. I am due for af on the 28th but i would like to know b4 xmas if its possible only i suppose i would have to have the bloods actually done on the 22nd to get results back in time but that would only put me at 8DPO i know it might be a long shot but is it possible to pick up hcg that early.
if an hpt can pick up hcg in urine at 7-10dpo surely bloods would show hcg?

I would say blood test can pick it up at least a week after conception( I read that some where).

yeah just had a look around and it says 6-8 days after ov but there are 2 types of bloods
urv got the which gives u ur hcg levels which will pick up hcg more accuratly or there is the 'qualitative hCG blood test' which is when they just give u a positive or negitive for hcg result.
wounder if i can get a form for quantitative bloods from cathi

Dont forget that fertilisation doesnt always occur ON ov day either, my scan dates put me at conception date of 2DPO and there is no doubt (I had been charting for over a year before finally getting bfp) that I ov'd on that particular day

an i got ov pains yesterday so sometime yesterday was ov for me. so if we do get a bfp this month i proberbly havent even conceived yet. oh well might just have to wait til xmas day in a 2ww prosective its ages away but looking at it as i have to finish xmas shopping my then its just not far away enough lol.

lol heidi, maybe its the xmas pressy for you that noone can buy ;) and you literally have to wait til xmas to find out which way it goes

and yeah, i mentioned over on KD TTC that ov surge can last about 24 hours, its just a case of catching it at the right time...I was just lucky that my tests were always towards the end of my surge, so would ov that night...

I'm not paying for the last of the laybuy until Xmas eve, so technically I wont finish my xmas shopping til then heh..

Therefore is DPO every day after that day?

usually the egg white stuff is for the day or two (or more for some women) leading up to ov, then the day after ov it changes to mark fertile period is over

Im not sure Heidi....Im noticing it now, but I wasnt before, what gave it away for me was the icly loose bowel motions and the horrible metal taste in my mouth and I felt briefly sick for a few days.

I have everything crossed for you hun!

Hey I am in the same boat as you, I am due for AF on the 27th and would love to know the day before or the day of xmas - it would be such a great present for us. We have been trying for our 1st for around 1.5 years. I was going to buy a HPT to do just incase - but didnt know if it could show up that early
