Topic: WHERE did you first feel movement? Posted: 14 December 2008 at 8:19am |
Everyone keeps asking if I have felt any movement yet and until last night I don't think I had. I have quite an active gut so it rumbles and bubbles normally so not really sure!! But last night I thought I felt some movement that felt different from my usual rumbling tummy! but it was really low down near the base of my bump??
I know I should just be patient but I feel like I'm missing out! I was actually getting worried that all was not well but had MW appt on Wednesday and heard the heartbeat loud and clear

I think that's where I first felt movement too. I didn't feel any till about 21 weeks though so don't stress!! They more than make up for it later on. It's so annoying people stressing you out like that though. I had people making me worry about it from about 15 weeks, though my midwife told me some people don't feel any till 24 weeks - esp if the placenta is at the front.

Somewhere around the 20wk mark for me. It was sorta right in a middle, not in a specific place IYKWIM. About 22wks I felt it in more specific places. Some days I felt nothing too.

I first felt it at 15 wks I think. and it was down low to the right. Could totally be the position of your placenta.... or just not feeling it strongly yet.... sounds like you can feel it though

I felt mine for the first time at about 17 weeks, mainly lower down at first.
Sounds like it could be the first movement to me! Congrats!

Yep very low. If you think of your fundal height as roughly one centimetre per week of pregnancy, from your pelvic bone, baby has to always be within that border. And it gets to the belly button at about 20 weeks. So if you feel baby before 20 weeks, it will be much more in your pelvis than in your tummy.

mine was about 18 weeks like bubbles filled with water popping down low. I feel mine everyday, but some days far more often than others... and the 4am wake up call is very much unneccessary in my honest opinion

I felt Caden at 11 weeks and down really low, like a tapping feeling that got stronger as I got further along, i was getting good thumps by 20 weeks.
But everyone is different and it depends on where your placenta is, mine was at the back so thats why i felt movement early and plus Caden is a very strong baby.

I felt flutter at 13 and then again at 15 and again at 17 and he was properly kicking by 20 or so...I had anterior placenta but although i didn't feel as many movements I felt some very strong and not others at all cause of the placenta I think?:)

I felt Michaela for the first time at 16 wks (before then there'd been a few flutters but I wasn't sure if they were baby or not) I can't remember where I felt her.
I've been feeling 'things' this time for the past couple of weeks but I haven't been convinced that they're baby, could be anything really, but yesterday I definitely felt baby movement in the middle of my bump 1/2way between my belly button and my pelvic bone.

I didn't feel anything till I was around 17 or 18 weeks and that was with twins lol! But it was very low down as well and only when I was lying down on my back I always thought it was gas but it just kept getting stronger.
