Topic: Emotional Posted: 09 December 2008 at 6:37pm |
Is anyone else finding they are getting very emotional? I am so close to tears at so many times during the day it's just not funny.
Nothing bad's happening, nothing that is upsetting me, I just feel like crying.
I had to turn the news off tonight as I saw they were about to show that dog trying to rescue the other dog off the highway. I'm still balling my eyes out and I didn't even see the news piece. My cat bought in a dead baby bird yesterday and I cried for three hours straight and started again the next day.
I don't feel depressed at all, just over whelmed and it's just so tiring.

I've been feeling down this week, I think it's partly starting to feel pregnant (as in, starting to feel the aches and tiredness of third trimester coming on)... I've been telling myself I just need a Christmas break - and I probably do - but I'm sure it's a pg thing too.
At your stage you are probably having a growth spurt every second week. Hang in there, next week will probably look up.

Oh yeah. I haven't been so bad this time so far but last time I purposely went out and got soppy DVDs so I could have something to cry over. I'd cried at stories on the news, and tv programs and basically anything and everything.

Like Kelly, I'm still just as bad now!
Sorry, that's not very helpful is it, unless it makes you feel better knowing you're not a total weirdo!

I'm getting like that too! I was all emotional in the first trimester, then it seemed to go away, until now! DH and I went out for dinner on Weds night for our anniversary, and there was a small baby at the table next to us, and when she started crying I started crying too!!! Hehe

Yesterday the kindy Michaela's on the waiting list for called to say that they have a space for her to start kindy in the new year. I was at starbucks with DH fighting back tears because my little girl is growing up (and even now I'm welling up just thinking about it).

Aw, Dana... I cried at that dog dragging the other one off the motorway too! I also cried when Ella recently watched a DVD of the book "Guess How Much I Love You"... she's not allowed to watch it for some time now.
...though, when Ella was young I remember crying for 3 hours solid after a very little thing, and that was when DH clicked that things were not even slightly OK for me, and my head was not in a good space. So I'd say if you felt a bit better once you'd cried the baby bird incident out of your system, you can easily put it down to these crazy pregnancy moments we all have, but if it keeps happening, maybe mention it to your MW? I guess I'm just thinking - 3 hours straight, sheesh, that's EXHAUSTING!! But if it's a one-off then nothing to worry about!

Caitlyn knows how easily I cry, and the little madam will purposely put movies on and speed them up to the sad part , then say "muuuum,,,,come and watch this " she thinks its hilarious

Aw, I love Guess how much I love. I had no idea there was a dvd too.
Michaela got a new book from her aunty and it's about becoming a big sister and it starts off that the big sister doesn't like the baby and then on the last page she decides she loves the baby and that made me cry

Oh man, I too started being like this when I was pregnant and am still a lot more 'bawley' than I used to be!
One day, when I was about 38 weeks pregnant, I was in the car and that song "Welcome Home" by Dave Dobbyn came on and I had to actually pull over and sob my heart out over the line"So welcome home, you see I've made a space for you now"!!! Made me think of my little man about to come into the world and the space in my world that I'd prepared for him
Oooh, still makes me a bit teary now LOL!

Aw, that's sweet. You've just reminded me that I cried a couple of weeks ago listening to bandaids "do they know it's Christmas" so I now retract my earlier statement that I haven't been bad this pregnancy - the truth is that my memory's failing me

D, the hawks have now taken 10 or my 11 ducklings and #1 rooster killed #2 rooster. all this has happened days and days ago and I'm still blubbering about it! I kept blaming myself, telling DH that I was a horrible animal mummy and they will all die because I'm not attentive enough - he laughed at me!
Ok, so that maybe gives me a reason to cry, but finding only a tiny PP maternity clothing and no others in the entire mall is no reason to cry I'm sure!
