I need some advice here.
Last night, about half of my mucous plug came out with a fair amount of blood. I also had a lot of very watery discharge. I also had period type pains, and my back was really sore. The pains in my back intensified every 15 to 20 minutes and lasted for a 60 seconds before going back to a dull ache.
I went to bed, and wore a maternity pad in case of any further discharge overnight. I wasn't able to sleep that well, as I still getting the back pain.
I have woken up this morning, and I've only had a little bit more of the watery discharge on my maternity but no blood. I still have the sore back.
I've also not been feeling well for the past couple of days, yet I wake up this morning full of energy and wanting to clean the house 
Now, do I call my midwife? I really don't like annoying her during the weekend. I am booked in for an elective c-section in 16 days, but I don't know if I am over reacting, thinking I maybe in the first stages of labour.
Opinions?

I'd call her. I'm sure she wont mind as she'd rather you and baby were safe and well. If you don't call her, she'll probably tell you off for not keeping her informed lol.

Yeah I'd give her a call and give her the heads up. On the weekend is a much better time to be informed than in the middle of the night lol

I'd call her, that's what she's there for. If there is a medical reason for your elective c/section and your membranes have ruptured they will do it sooner as bubba is at risk for infection. You might be getting to meet your little man sooner than you think! Good luck!

Thats what I was thinking...weekends are fine....I struggled calling my MW at midnight and then again at 3am but I wouldnt hesitate to call her during the day on a weekend. Just let her know whats happened. She may want to check you out.
From what you have said in this thread...I dont think you will be making your c-section date . We better get started on a photo gallery for our new arrivals.

Absolutely give her a call!! I think you are in early labour. Especially because you have booked a c/s, she needs to know asap.

Just gave her call about the symptoms I have. She said the show was normal up to a week or so before you go into labour, even with the blood.
I also talked about the discharge and back pain, and she told me to keep an eye on it and to also note how many pads I use today and tomorrow. She asked what the smell was like, and I said it had a slight sweet smell to it. She said that if I start to soak quite a few pads over today and tomorrow, I may have to go into hospital for an assessment. She said it sounds like I may starting to slowly leak amniotic fluid, but she can't be sure until she knows what sort of discharge I have over the next couple of days.
So at the moment, I am ok to continue doing things I had planned for the next couple of days.
Oh well, at least it is some excitement

Good luck lady aset, sounds to me like you might get to meet your wee boy soon. Glad you decided to call your midwife - that's what she's there for, she'll be used to the weekend and midnight calls at least

That sounds like your waters have broken! I had the same thing, but my waters pissed out for the entire time I was in labour!

I'm feeling fine today :-)
I am still getting the very watery discharge and still getting little blobs of the mucous plug coming out, but I still won't know until tomorrow when I call my midwife.
Oh well, I have my last day of work today, and I officially start my maternity leave tomorrow.

I don't know your reasoning behind the c-section - but are you able to deliver vaginally if you DO go into labour early, or will you still have a c-section?

I work as a librarian (librarians really aren't a dry bunch of people  ), so hopefully it isn't too busy today that I have to get up a lot. I am guessing it won't be busy today, as it is a nice day in Wellington, so most people tend to stay away
I will still have to have a c-section, as I have placenta praevia (thankfully at my last scan it went from grade 4 to grade 2), I have extensive scarring on my uterus from having fibroids cut off, and I also have severe anxiety issues with people looking down there (hospital under strict instructions on how long they have to do any internal assessments).
I was warned though by the specialist at the hospital that the scarring may cause me to go into labour a little earlier than the planned c-section date. My midwife knows this, which is why I am keeping a close eye on everything. The bleeding that I did have only came when the mucous plug came out. So apart from that, the baby is still happy where he is at the moment (I think )

Hi Bex, congratulations on your pregnancy, take a look at the due date month threads to chat to some other mums due around the same time as you I did a quick search and have bumped up a previous thread on midwives in the Lower Hutt area, hope that's useful.
ETA - sorry for the threadjack lady_aset! Hope all is going well with you and there has been no more excitement yet!
