Topic: West Wave Aqua Natal Classes Posted: 21 November 2008 at 9:35am |
Has anyone looked further into this? I'd be interested in going once I pass the 14 week mark (which isn't too far away now).

SIL is booked in to start in a week or 2 I think. You have to be 12wks+ and you only book for about 4-5wks at a time, I think it works out at about $10 a session. A friend went when she was pg with her first and has booked again for her 2nd pg so I assume that she likes it

Nah Tracey they dont but they do have a contact number for you to talk to the lady that runs the classes.
From memory when i looked into it the classes are small between 6 - 8 ladies and they full up pretty quickly so if your interested it pays to ring her and book in advance. Can't remember the pricing but i think it's some where between the $10 - $15 mark per session and they run for about 5 -6 weeks i think...it was a while ago that i looked into it and i missed out because the classes where fully booked.

I did them and they were GREAT!!
You do need to book in pretty early though as they full up super fast.
The bigger I got the better they were!

Where is it Tracey? Might not be too big a drive I spose. I am right by upper harbour drive and the new motorway so it could be a possibility.

Mel, if you go west on the Motorway and get off at the Te Atatu exit, West Wave is pretty much at the end of Edminton Rd Map Link
I've left a message with Stephanie who runs the classes to see what the what is with the classes.

I spoke to Stephanie who runs the Aqua natal classes and she has a class starting next week on Tuesday (one starts at 7pm and one at 7,30pm) they go for half an hour x 4 weeks and cost $40. The next ones after that will start 19th January and the price will be going up to $48 x 4 classes.
There are only about 2 places left in next weeks classes.

We could be water buddies! Starting up after christmas would be cool! Are you going to get into the next class or wait. Might have to do a test drive to see how long it would take... could be fun!

I have had 2 classes so far (3rd tonight) and they have been good. They give you quite a good workout but there is a lot less pressure on your body and I would imagine that there is a lot less pressure on your belly as it grows as the water helps support. The water also provides good resistance but it is not to strong that you would hurt yourself and/or baby
