Topic: Update from scan.... Posted: 04 November 2008 at 3:45pm |
Hi everyone
Firstly, apologies for not updating sooner...stupid internet was on the blink!! Didn't mean to leave you all hanging lol
I was soooooo nervous this morning- Rachel thank you for trying to calm me down lol......but I had bad ms again this morning, probably half the thowing up was from nerves (sorry tmi)!
So anyway........ little bubba is fine!! And huge lol...measuring a couple of days ahead in dates! ....oh and kicking!!! Boy oh boy was he/she kicking and wriggling! Nice strong heartbeat and it took ages for baby to settle down so the sonographer could measure the nuchal fold lol. She wouldn't tell me the exact risk, but said it was low...no doubt my mw will call me tomorrow with the exact figures but at this stag it looks good and it's not like I'm gonna do anything with the info anyway. It was just *such* a huuuuugggge relief to see our baby was still alive and happy.
Both DP and I just stared and stared at the screen during the scan, we couldn't believe how much bigger bubba had got since 7.5 weeks! It's starting to feel more real now too, adn I think hopefully I'll be able to start forming a bond now we have seen everything is ok.
Will try to post a photo soon.
Thanks all for your support, I literally wouldn't have gotten through this first trimester without you lot! xx

LOL- in theory.....no, in reality...hmmmm. We'd both like to find out at the birth BUT not sure if we'll be that restrained! Depsite thinking I was having a blue bean to start with, I'm now getting more of a girl vibe....partly cos I've been *so* sick and I heard girls do that to ya...lol. I'm just stoked we have what appears to be a healthy little bubba in there!
Roksana- I dunno if I can go another 190 days or so without worrying but I will do my best!!! I'm looking forward to the spewing part of the pg to be over and the glowing part to begin...when is that supposed to happen? lol

Well depends on the person really...you should stop spewing in two - four weeks but a friend of mine (14+ weeks) still spewing...so who knows? I hope it does stop soon for you! As for glowing...he he ha ha...may be after birth, if you are any thing like me! My daughters have sucked all my glow and beauty out of me....he he ha ha.
As for you throwing up and having a girl...well....lets just say I never spewed with DD1 and spewed every second night and I am having another girl....you will just have to wait 190 days to see what you are having....or another 6 weeks

Congratulations!!! I know how good that relief feels and once you have a wee photo to look at I think it helps with the bonding! All the best for the rest of your pregnancy!!!
