Hello,
Do babies go off their food after their 6 week jabs? If so, for how long?

I have to spend a lot of time coaxing Jackson to stay on the breast and keep sucking at the best of times but don't want to push the issue today if he is not feeling the best.

He is still fussing, and we have had some wind issues, so I am not sure if the fussing today is just general cr*ppiness or if it is wind and therefore after a burp he should keep eating. He got pretty mad with me this morning!!!

Keeping Finley sucking is half the battle have you tried moving his arm nearest you around in like a pumping motion, looks funny but the lc told me it opens their lungs up a bit and keeps them going, works occasionally for us.

jabs tend to stuff everything up, but make sure you try and get as much milk into him as possible, as it's important to keep fluids up if he has a fever from the immunisations. Have you given him some pamol?

He is having some good drinks - about 5 - 7 mins of solid sucking, but normally we have to keep him working! Have given some pamol as well.

Usually I have to put a cold cloth on his neck to get him sucking again! He has become immune to the arm moving already!

Natalie was exactly the same with feeding - I used to have to keep wiping her face with a cold wet facecloth to keep her sucking....glad to say she grew out of that! Good luck - the jabs are a PITA (we have the 3month ones on Monday )

Oh, Blondy, it's reassuring to hear that Jackson may grow out of this! I can't imagine having to do this for many months.
