Topic: Wow she is STRONG!!!! Posted: 28 October 2008 at 3:40pm |
Hi again everyone! My little girl has been kicking and moving so violently that she has had me in tears several times. Is this normal? I haven't been able to sleep and my tummy is really tender and I dread her being awake (tho then I start worrying if she isn't active!). I thought they were supposed to get less room and move less violently? I have been taking pain killers because it hurts so much.. She gets right around the side and digs her toes in I think! My poor organs lol.

SD It's good that bubs is active and sounds like she is very strong, Im not really sure why it hurts so much, Have you spoken to your MW? Have you had your Liqor volume checked?

C was very active , by the end I could grab her foot when she kicked at my side and she would tug it back (we fought from day one ...) but it never hurt as such , so perhaps you should talk to your MW as Mumof72B suggested

Thanks guys! I did mention it to her on last visit altho it hadn't been as bad. She basically said its just normal pain for pregnancy but yeah as I said it has subsequently got worse.. Good point on the fluid volumes.. How would they know if there is enough? By feeling? Or is the only way thru a scan?

With my last pregnancy I had the Liqor volume checked at my growth scan about 36wks, Im not really sure if it was routine or MW felt I was getting abit empty LOL...Are you onto weekly visits now? Id ask her about the Liqor volume just to be on the safe side.

Oh ok thanks. I don't think I am due to have a growth scan as there hadn't been any concerns so far but yeah this may be a good reason to have one! No not weekly yet... My next appointment is not this coming thursday but the next one.. Hmm I wonder if there is any other way to get an indication..

my MIL was telling me how her son got his foot stuck between 2 of her ribs and it stayed there for 2 weeks. she said that kicking the ribs was really really painful. if it happening all the time then i would get it checked out. a mates mum had really bad pain when being kicked too but only lasted a couple of weeks

Yep its normal. Caden was exactly the same, towrads the end, especially when I was 2 weeks over due he would move and kick so hard it had me in tears or i was stuck in one spot until he stopped.
Its good though! You know bubs is all good in there No movement is when you need to worry.
They should kick and what not right up until they are born.
Oh and Caden is a VERY strong baby, plunket said he is the strongest baby they have come across in ages, they can hardly stretch his legs out to measure him half the time lol

Awwwwww SD
I think it's your fluid level getting low, As this little man hurts like hell when he decides to move too, not that he can move much but boy when he does I know all about it. Might pay to get your fluid level checked as you might actually be leaking tiny little amounts or not producing much now.

AAAAAARGH!!! Well I just had an ultrasound and my right kidney is moderately to severely blocked!!! So thats why I'm in so much pain when she is near it! I was only in hospital a few weeks ago for excruciating pain in left kidney with a kidney stone and now it looks like I may have one in the other kidney. I have had nowhere near the amount of pain as I had a few weeks ago when I had the kidney stone in my left kidney but aaargh I hope it doesn't get worse!!!!! Its scary So I have to meet the midwife at the hospital probably in an hour or so and may have to stay in. sigh There goes exam study.
