We hate the highchair we currently have, Livvy can't reach the food on the tray and it makes her slouch/slump down. We're looking at getting her another one but I'm just wondering if it's worth it. How long did your bubs eat in a highchair for?

And has anyone tried one of these Mocka ones. A lady in our coffee group has an Ikea one and loves it and these look exactly the same.

I think maybe Bizzy recently got one..

Daniel still uses his high chair. He doesn't end up eating anything if we use the table and chairs so who knows when we will ditch the hairchair

we got the mocka designer one with the insert. theres a bit of a gap between the tray and eden but no more than normal i would say. its definitely a good price.
the wooden one is supposed to be really good too and it converts to a chair so definitely get your moneys worth.

A convertible/chair type one sounds like a good idea!! Or you could get one of those clip on ones (like a P&Ts Me Too) if you had a decent table to attach it to.

Isla turned 2 last week and she still always sits in the highchair. If she didnt want to we wouldnt make her nwo that she older, but she happy as and asks to go in there. She does the same at daycare too, even tho she has the choice to sit at the tables with the other kids.

So it sounds as if we'd still get quite a bit of use out of it them.

I like the look of the designer one because it look's so easy to clean. Although I suppose the wooden one wouldn't be too bad either - much easier than the one we have with cushions on it.

We have a really cheap table that rocks about so it's no good for a clip-on seat.

we have a trip trap and Amy still eats all her meals at it. At the moment we stil have the bar across it so it is in high chair mode. It is great as she is at the same hight at the table as everyone else. We will get one for Sophie soon too I think. She is in a regular high chair at the moment and the gap between her and the tray is anoying. She need another cushion to prop her closer because of the angle of the seat.

Jake ate in his highchair for AAAGGGGGES, but Taine was out before he was two. pretty much cause as big bro was out, it wasn't the "cool" thing to do.

Freesia we have the same one they use at Columbus so if you give that a try and like it you can find it at Kiwibaby for $140

Edit: AN E has a Mocka (or something very similar) and it's very good - if you're willing to pay a bit more then I would recommend that.

The Mocka ones are only $89 as opposed to the Ikea which are a bit more expensive. We were looking at the pictures on the net and couldn't see a difference between them though. Maybe just slightly different in size.

Do you like the one from Kiwibaby Bobbie?

Sorry Freesia - can't spell. it is Tripp Trapp made by Stokke. They are $$ but great. Children can use them for years as a regular chair - sort of grows with them. One of the few that us strong enough for an adult to sit on. Can be used as a desk chair for homework etc. Here is a link to the American website - it has more info than the local sites.

Gremlins have been out of high chairs since about 13 mths, they discovered that if they rocked backwards and forwards hard enough they could tip them over, and failing that they'd just climb out Mind you, we had budget high chairs, lil miss is gonna have a flaaaash one
