Topic: I just drank a Beer! Posted: 22 October 2008 at 7:27pm |
knew that would get you all looking....
But seriously, I've been wanting a beer on these nice nights. So I finally stopped & looked at the beer fridge at New World PN as I had been told by a pregnant friend that they stock NON ALCOHOLIC beer!
I just had a 330m can of Clausthaler. Looks the part, smells the part & thank god tasted the part. Not weak at all.
Just check the expiry on the bottom of the can to make sure it's fresh & at $1.19 doesn't break the bank either

Was it good?? A friend who just had a baby was telling me about them the other day saying they were pretty good.
Haven't even thought about wine while I been pregnant but been thinking about beer recently and had a few sips of Dhs on the weekend.
May have to look for them at the supermarket

Yes Febbabe it was good....
There was three types, I think two were the brand above, one in a can & one in a bottle & then the other one was a really big can so I wasn't going to waste money on that if it was foul so I went for the smallest.
I haven't had any "alcoholic" cravings as such but it was more the idea of sitting down relaxing having a beer on a nice hot afternoon.

Your right I think it is more mind over matter, when the weather starts to pick up there is nothing better than a beer in the sun.

Mmmm - Thank heavens for non alcoholic beer. I get one from the organic shop down the road and it's great. It truly feels like a real beer. I love it. I can't remember the name of the one that I've been getting, it's a german one.
It's so nice to still be able to sit in the sunshine with DH and enjoy a beer together.

Ooh I want one, one of my cravings is a nice cold beer, especially on a nice warm day, might have to look to see if I can find some

I got mine from Pioneer New World in palmerston north. They are on the top shelf & yes even tall me had to stretch! Basically between the individual bottles & the boxed of beer.
Aithne, it's a fab idea, I'm off to Oz on monday & everyone drinks over there & so i was going to be left out but now I'm going to see if I can find some. Plus we have Xmas coming up & we also have New Years & my brothers wedding...I might need to stock up!

Thank you, might check out the porirua new word...
Haha yes, i have so many birthdays coming up and special occasions, its just such a busy year in that regard, so have been feeling very lets say, jealous haha of everyone that was able to enjoy a few drinks.
Ive caught my self staring at them a few times haha. So maybe this non-alcoholic beer would take my mind off everyone else and make me feel more included haha...
Great idea whoever made them.
