Just wondering what I can do to help me in the mornings. Yesterday it was between morning tea and lunchtime and today I'm feeling it already (just after breakfast). I think what's happening is that I'm getting too hungry (oops) before eating. Is it low blood sugar or something and how can I boost it when I realise too late what I've done? (Obviously eating when I'm hungry is the solution but it's a bit late for that this morning!)

Try carrying around some carrot sticks or dry crackers (like saladas) with you. It could also be low blood pressure (which is good apparently in pregnancy because high blood pressure is bad). See how you got with food and if it doesn't help then go for a quick checkup.

I was having dizzy spells and the midwife found that as well as me having low blood pressure my iron stores were completely depleted, I have been on iron tablets for just over a week and have had far less dizzy spells so that might be something to consider especially if you are struggling to keep up with your hunger.

I get the same thing. My blood pressure was taken at 90/40 when the spells were at their worst. Not really alot you can do for it but I hear dehydration is a common cause. I think alot of people underestimate how much water we need to drink (I am shocking as I hate water).

My pressure has come back up to 118/70 and the spells are only when i'm tired or hungry which is my own fault. Lots of little snacks through the day seem to help. I chow down on green seedless grapes and they seem to help with the low blood sugar and i'm sure they're better than the scary amount of peanut slabs I was inhaling :)

Thanks Danaj (and all). I've started downing extra water today and we'll see how we go. My BP has been on the low side already this pg so I think low BP might be the prob. When I asked last time if there was anything that could be done for low BP (not that I had it, but just curious), mw joking suggested get more stress in my life LOL!

BP on visits was 102/58 (lowest ever) and 100/70 (not that low) earlier this month. If I still have trouble on Monday, I'll go to the clinic and get them to take my BP then.
