I'm starting to think about starting my nappy collection for mediums. My question is for those of you using snap-in-goes up to what age is your bubs wearing the mediums?
I am wanting to make these my main stay nappy so am trying to figure out if it is worth it or not. Would it be possible to toilet train once he's outgrown the mediums?

Mmmmmm from what I've heard it might be better to go size large as they are small fitting. I doubt very much that you'd TT out of mediums.

Happy to be proven wrong though!

Tom can just fit his medium now and is on tightest fitting for large.  He is 13 month and 10.5kg...but short and stocky.  I doubt you could TT out of mediums unless you had a skinny little fella

Spencer is still in mediums on the first non crossed over snap. He is a little bubba though, only on the 10th percentile. He also fits his large nappies but they are on the first cross over.
Spencer is 9kg and 73.5cm.

Ali went into Meds when she was 10weeks and it says up until 12kgs but really depends on the kid. 12kg in "normal" girl terms is 2 years so theoretically you could TT out of them... But they are pretty small fitting, im probably going to sell of my collection of Meds when the time comes and buy a whole new stash of Large!!

Oh dear... DD2 is 4 months old and still fits the mediums, but almost on the last snaps. She fits the large itti bitti's on the tightest snaps without crossing over...I think I have a big buddha bubba!
I would definitely not be able to TT out of mediums, I've only got one medium and will be buying large from now on.

Oh - she was just over 7kg at 3.5 months old (haven't had her weighed lately). Big thighs!

my baby is 6 mths old and i am thinking larges already - they are fine going around but really short in the rise. so i would say no.

you'd be better off doing berry plush's if you wanted to TT out of them, they are a bigger fit.

I am currantly using bitti boos small which are fast getting to small for him. Do you think it would be possible to just go strat up to the snap in go large but put it on the tightest setting? I really don't want to have to buy three different sizes as I'm not wanting to sell them on but instead keep for future baby (for distance future).
I will have a look at berry plush. What is the difference?

I'd imagine the large would be too big.  You could always order one, try it and if not swap it for med

first - the berry plush are bigger fitting. they are a side snap and as with the itti bitti you snap in the absorbent bit. snazzipants sell them.

I bought  larges for my boy (7 months old at the time) and he still fits them on the same sanp as he did then.  I have a friend that bought her whole stash in ittis and got mediums only to find that they did up but only just.  She has returned and got larges (he is 4.5 months old) and they fit really well.

Jack is average sized and he hasn't been able to wear larges without leaks for months now and berry plush rub his thighs. Neither have worked at nights for us either. I just wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket this early on IYKWIM?

Are they leaking because they are too big or too small for him??

Leo is 2yrs 1mth, 14.5kg, and wears a large on the second-largest snap. They are pretty low-rise too but we've never had any leaks.

If you are wanting just one nap through to tting, then I don't think itti, s would be it. Pockets are a lot more versatile, as you can stuff with as much as is needed. DS fits large itti snap-ins at 12 months.

It may not be the waist and leg measurements that make the difference, but the rise.

Isaac is 20 months, 86cm tall, weighs 12.2kg & can still fit the mediums, they are on the outer most snaps, he also fits the large on the almost tightest setting (with 1 snap in between). I love the itti bitti's :) We have 3 mediums, with 2 extra inserts & 4 larges with 2 extra inserts, I wash every other day but we dont use them at night. We will be starting toilet training this summer :)

Wow, gremlins are 12.3kg and 12.4kg and I wouldn't have a hope of getting them in a medium! I tried it last week by accident when I picked up one of lil miss' instead and it wouldn't even go round Sienna's thigh. They're on the tightest non-crossed over snap of the larges.

Lil miss has been in meds since about 4.5kg.
